Hi! I am Stephene Johnson, a therapist at Sharp Wellness.

I like to think of myself as a compassionate guide, a curious listener, and a teammate in the therapy room. I work with children, adolescents, individuals, and families who are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem, anxiety, and the many experiences that can make life feel overwhelming. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves and their relationships, work through challenges, and feel more confident in creating the life and connections they want.

  • Whole-Person Support

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I look at the bigger picture and how thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, family, and identity all connect. Therapy with me may include deeper reflection, practical coping skills, gentle challenges, humor, or simply having a space where you do not have to have everything figured out.

  • Finding Your Voice

It can be easy to lose sight of what you want when you are focused on meeting expectations or being who others need you to be. I help clients explore their identity, values, needs, and beliefs while challenging the critical inner voice that can make it difficult to trust themselves.

  • Collaborative Growth

I believe you know yourself better than anyone. Rather than telling you what you should do, I help you slow down, get curious, recognize patterns, and discover what works best for you. My goal is to create a safe, authentic, judgment-free space where we work together toward greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and confidence.

  • More About Me

When I am not working, you will probably find me spending time with family and friends, exploring new places, trying new foods, listening to music or podcasts, or finding something new to be interested in. I love learning about people and hearing the stories that make them who they are, so it probably comes as no surprise that I genuinely enjoy getting to know the people around me. I also value my own quiet time and believe there is something really important about making room for both connection and rest. At the end of the day, I try to approach life with curiosity, humor, and an openness to learning something new.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”

— Carl Rogers
