Frequently Asked Questions

  • Counseling is a unique relationship that allows individuals, couples, and families to accomplish mental health, wellness, career, relationship, and educational goals. Counseling helps people make changes in their ways of feeling, thinking, and behaving. The relationship between a therapist and their client focuses on a goal-based collaboration that is non-judgemental and supportive. The client and therapist work toward healing by sharing the client's story, creating coping mechanisms, and developing plans to accomplish goals.

The therapists at Sharp Wellness have been extensively trained to provide the help clients need to achieve their goals.

  • Each individual is unique, and thus their therapy experience will vary. Some clients come for 6 to 8 weeks to work on a specific issue or concern. Other clients come to therapy for six months to a year to work through current issues as well as the underlying issues. Clients also come in for several years to continuously grow and work through problems throughout their lives. There is no specific number of sessions or time that needs to be met to achieve growth.

  • Sharp Wellness does not work with most insurance companies directly. If requested, we will be happy to provide a receipt which you can then submit to your insurance company. Oftentimes, your insurance provider will reimburse you a percentage of the session cost.

Sharp Wellness places a great value on your confidentiality. By being an out-of-network provider, Sharp places you in control of your growth, and there is no limit on your treatment, nor is there a diagnosis on your medical records.

  • Each therapist at Sharp Wellness has a different fee depending on their experience, training, and specializations.
