Hello!
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern at Sharp Wellness. I like to think of myself as a warm, enthusiastic, energetic, passionate, and caring individual. Basically, a Golden Retriever dog in human form! I work with children, adolescents, teenagers, and emerging adults to help with emotional regulation, communication and expression, new life transitions, and exploring various thoughts and challenges in life.
I strive to make an environment where my clients feel safe, accepted, and heard in a space where they can share and express their emotions, feelings, and struggles. I use an approach of autonomy and teamwork within the clinic setting. Using the “teamwork” approach allows for a collaborative opportunity to work together through various challenges in life without feeling like you’re going through it alone. Together, we will work to explore difficult thoughts and emotions, tackling worry, navigating grief, and exploring dysregulation within the self. While there are several issues I work with, I would like to say I really enjoy working with clients that are going through life changes, struggling with the view of self, and finding ways to explore the various emotions. To add, it is my jam to work with neurodivergent individuals (i.e. Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, etc.) as I believe that creating the same opportunities for their mental health can generate a life full of support and compassion within their lives.

Being Yourself
When you are not being yourself… times can be hard. I want to help clients to begin to love themselves and being comfortable in their own skin. I also strive to work with their own personal monologue and thoughts that may skew one’s self-image. You deserve to love who you are and appreciate all the unique qualities that you possess.

The Transitions of Life
Transitions in life can be very challenging at times. It can even make the individual feel stuck in place with no clear path to take. My goal is to work with these life transitions by exploring new routes and opportunities that come with them. Taking the time to navigate the fear, anxiety, and emotions around these transitions can allow for a smoother approach to these new phases of life.

More About Me
When I am not working you will most likely find me in the outdoors. I love to spend time hiking, running, climbing, fly fishing, and exploring national and state parks in the country. I also spend time out on the court playing pickleball or on the course playing golf. I also secretly (but not so secretly) have an obsession with farmers markets, random holidays (example: Mardi Gras), and Facebook Marketplace deals.
