Serra Ramey, MS, LCDC, LPC
Serra Ramey, LCDC, LPC is passionate about assisting clients to enhance their lives by employing acceptance, empathy, and understanding. Her authenticity welcomes clients to explore their presenting struggles with ease and genuine support. She’s innovative in her ability to accommodate unique client needs and offer a structured therapeutic plan best suited to tackle problem areas and increase self-confidence.
Serra operates from an eclectic, individualized approach grounded in a person-centered, REBT, CBT, DBT, and Gestalt therapy theories. She believes each client has worth and the potential for positive change. She highly values the client-therapist connection and strives to cultivate an open, trusting space, so every client feels comfortable and able to speak freely. Serra has extensive experience working with various populations in research and data analysis, harm reduction and community engagement, dual-diagnosis residential and transitional living as well as intensive outpatient levels of care. She is a certified Pet Partners Animal Assisted Therapist and is working with her two puppies, Charlie and Moon, to be future team members. Serra has experience working with families, individuals, and couples.
Serra received her Bachelor of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas. Following graduation, she moved to Denver, Colorado seeking new adventures and the outdoors. She lived in Denver for nearly five years in which she began her graduate program for Multicultural Counseling in Clinical Mental Health at the University of Colorado - Denver. Serra returned to Texas to be closer to family and completed her Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree at the University of North Texas. Serra is continuously engaged in educational trainings and conferences to stay informed about updated methodologies and advancements in the field,
Serra is a native Texan who has lived in England, Oklahoma, Colorado, and hopes to see as much of the world as she can. She enjoys spontaneous adventures, spending time with her partner, daughter, and two dogs, listening to podcasts, reading, camping, and having a silly-goose time.
